Q: What is Sublimation?

A: Sublimation is when you have a specific kind of printer (we use a Epson    ET-15000) and you convert it to use sublimation ink. You then print the image you want, then use heat to attach it to a product.

Q: What kind of sublimation ink do you use?

A. We use Hippo Sublimation Ink.

Q. What kind of sublimation paper do you use and why?

A. We have tried several different brands. Our paper of choice is HTVRONT. We noticed that HTVRONT has better ink quality and the brightness of the images are a lot more vibrant then other sublimation paper brands. We also love that they offer the larger paper sizes that our Epson ET-15000 can print.

Q;  Can you sublimate a image that has "WHITE" in it?

A. With sublimation, it is a tricky process when it comes to colors and how they appear on products. Our Epson ET-15000 uses Hippo Sublimation Ink. It consists of Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow Inks. So there is technically NO WHITE ink. However, when deciding on which product we are sublimating on, the WHITE part of the image, will show the color of whatever we are sublimating on. So if the product itself is white, it will show white.  If the product is silver, wherever there is white, will show as silver. Same with any other colors, Purple, Pink, Blue, Orange etc. Whereever there is white, the original color will always show through where there is WHITE on the design.

For this reason, and how complicated it can become with requests, we prefer to choose designs that we are confident that will turn into beautiful products!

When it comes to clothing, the only way (that we know how) to sublimate is to choose designs without the color white in it. We have learned through process of elimination, that DTF Printing is the only real way to create designs on clothing that include the color white. We can sublimate every other color on clothing, but white!

Q: What is "Ghosting"

A: Ghosting is when the image doesn't completely transfer to a item when you are sublimating it. It can appear dull or white. It can appear to be blurry. It most often happens at the top or the bottom of a item.

Q: What is a seam line?

A: A seam line is when you bring two ends of the image together. It is where it meets. Depending on the image and/or pattern, you will not notice the seam. Other times, it is a line vertically down the product separating the two patterns that meet that do not run continuous.

Q: How long does the liquid in the tumblers stay hot/cold?

A: We have noticed here in South Florida, the ice remains whole for 6-8 hours after filling the tumblers. Hot Liquids have remained hot 4-6 hours after filling the tumblers.
